1.) Ingenious

I bought this product three weeks ago, and have used it about 15 total days. After a few uses, I realized the genius of these Push-Up Pros.
First, I tried them on the floor. As a middle-aged female, who can do no more than 15 men's push-ups at a time, these tools did not make it any easier for me to do more. I was kind of disappointed, although I realized my wrists did not feel as much strain. So, I kept them in direct view of my couch, hoping to be inspired while watching television. Seeing them in front of me, I used them a few more times, on the floor with the same results.
THEN, one night I decided to try them on the wall. I placed them on the wall and proceeded to do an entire workout. It felt incredible. I put them at different levels, stretching my back, my legs, holding my weight against the wall, and doing push-ups at my leisure. The next day, I noticed improvement in the core of my body and my posture: I felt almost like an olympic swimmer. After a few weeks, I noticed the flab on my arms diminishing. My super-toned muscles of younger days are now making a comeback.
The principle of this item is simple: there are no attachments necessary, and no markings are left on your wall or flooring. It is simply a way for one to exercise against the weight of his or her own body. Ideally, this is what we all should strive for, to be able to lift and control our own body weight (call it isotonics, kinetics, or whatever you want). I recommend a day of rest between extensive workouts, to give your shoulders recovery time.
The handles could be a little more comfortable, and I believe the makers of this product will soon realize so. These are, however, completely portable, inexpensive, and not a dangerous contraption, therefore I give them a top-rating.
2.) The Essentials

There is another version of this same invention currently available. It's twice as expensive and looks bigger. Well, if you need added cushion, padding, etc., then you might want to buy that one. I got THIS one, however, and think it was well worth it. Some people might complain that the handles are not "comfortable" enough. The first session I did I thought the same thing. However you get used to that very quickly. It's like anything, it takes some getting used to. The good thing about this device is it is so simple. It takes up no space at all, and basically the work is up to you. It's definitely worth the money.
3.) They work. They pump. Comfort can be corrected...

They do the job well. I bought locally at Wal greens for the same cost. They don't spin as freely as the competition which I personally like. Solid as hell despite being plastic. Non-slip pads on the bottom keep it from sliding around. The included pamphlet has a basic workout and short, yet helpful eating tips. These will be easier to travel with than the competition. As for comfort...Weight gloves solve any issues with padding. Or use household sponges. Or buy bicycle grips and slice them in half. All of these ideas should save you the extra $20 you'd spend on the competition.
If you use them, they'll work. But so do normal pushups. These just feel more "natural" if such a thing exists.
4.) Outstanding procuct, even better value!

This product is well engineered, high quality and an outstanding value. I travel a lot, and this product is lightweight, fits great in my suitcase. I not only get a great workout on the road, but I use it at home when I don't have time to go to the gym. It beats out a similar product on the market that is almost twice the price. I highly recommend this item.

Compared to another, similar product the Push Up Pro is a great deal. They both have the same design concept, but you can get your hands on this product for about half the price. Despite the big price difference, for your money you will receive a product that is sturdy, rotates smoothly, and is comfortable on the palms of your hands. I have done standard military push ups for years, and while it took me a minute to get used the rotation this device introduces into the movement, I have found that it feels more natural and puts less strain on my joints. Its probably too early to tell (I just bought the Push Up Pro two weeks ago), but it seems to be helping me take my strength and physique to the next level. Just get it. You'll be glad you did.

I have used the Push Up Pro for about a week now and have no complaints so far. I had read in some of the other reviews that the handles hurt your hands while using it, I have had no problems with that at all. I would definitely recommend this product. It is a steal at $19 compared to the more expensive model which does the same thing.

I used the perfect push up at a local gym I used to go to and it made me want it, so I searched for it on Amazon and I found this as an alternative and read reviews and all that jazz before I purchased it. I think this performs just as well as the perfect push up and it costs quite a bit less so I was happy about that. All in all, if you are looking for a better way to do push ups this is it, I instantly felt it in parts of my muscles I haven't felt before. So if you are debating between this and the perfect push up, there really is no difference, just the name.
Oh yeah, when I saw the pictures I thought that these didn't have a grip, I thought it was just hard plastic and I imagined that would a little raw but decided to go for it anyway. But I was wrong, these have a real comfortable grip made of some rubbery substance that feels great to hold when doing the push ups!

I got the Push up Pro as a gift a while back, and it's been working great for me. I'm keeping myself reasonably in shape when I can't go to the gym, and it's highly convenient, being of a light weight and small size. At first, when i got it out of the box, it looked pretty cheap and felt flimsy, but i didn't let this influence my opinion (as i suspect some people have). I can tell you this: you don't need to waste money on the supposedly superior "Perfect Push up".
First, I've seen a lot of people with a common complaint: the Push up Pro isn't comfortable. Personally, I don't have any problems with it, but maybe that's because I only weigh 155 lbs. I can see that it might be an issue for heavier users with broader palms, but this problem can be easily solved with a few small rags or paper towels for padding. In my opinion, using a couple of towels to solve a minor problem is much more economical than immediately giving up and needlessly buying something more expensive.
And, as with all things in life, you'll get used to it with practice.
Second, a lot of people are complaining about an alleged "rough" or "unsteady" turning action. I don't think of it as a problem at all - instead, I see it as comparable to balancing the bar while bench pressing. At the beginning, it will take some time to get down a smooth action, but as you practice and get stronger, you should be able to master rotating the pads smoothly. I prefer to think of it as a feature of the Push up Pro. In any case, it definitely helped me get stronger.
To sum it all up, the Push up Pro is a great, convenient way to get or stay in shape (if you want to do something more fancy than regular pushups. There isn't a big difference between regular pushups and these. If you're fine with regular pushups and don't have wrist problems, then this Push up Pro isn't necessary). It's more difficult than regular push ups, encouraging you to build your strength by making you go lower while practicing a smooth turn of the handles. If you want a simple way to get fit, these will work. If you've got money to burn and want to go easy on yourself, go ahead and get the Perfect Push up.

I bought these to compliment push-ups and plus a friend of mine recommended them. Well, I usually do 15-20 pushups a day. On this thing, I can't do more than a few. It really works different muscles! The weight on the grips is a different load , so the wrist work more, and I could see how someone not used to gripping stuff might suffer soreness, but that would abate with use.
The main thing is, just like first starting pushups, start slowly, and in time your body adjusts and then you can add repetitions/sets to build and tone muscle.
I really like them. They little things have given me a challenge. Let's see where I'm at in 6 months! Atlas !!

This product doesn't make pushups any easier, but it does relieve strain on your hands and wrists, and feels like it's working more of your muscles.

For the cost of one month's worth of membership, I'll be able to develop my pectorals and triceps without having to drive anywhere or looking weenie at the gym lifting small weights. I doubt these will get you huge muscles; they're probably not a good idea for strength training or muscle bulking. I use them because I wanna be cut, and quick. I bought these "Push Up Pros" because they were inexpensive and conceptually, they seemed very cool, and inexpensive. I had seen the Perfect Pushups first, but as they were twice the money I decided I would do myself a favor and buy the Push up Pros instead.
I tried them out once I brought them home, they were okay. There was an obvious drag on them due to the weight (I only weigh 150) and it was making the turning of the components choppy and rough. They are also made a cheap plastic and they really lack durability. They weren't too bad, but they definitely weren't anything to be too excited over.
I returned them and bought the Perfect Pushups. I have never made a better decision. These ones always have a perfect, smooth, controlled movement, are very durable, have steel ball bearings inside, and they are just a sturdier, better product overall.
I was actually excited about showing these off (everyone loves them) and I have been using them for about 3 months (included in a normal chest routine) and I have seen massive results.
Overall I don't recommend this product, and I would bite the bullet and spend the extra $20 for the Perfect Pushups.
