1.) Seems to be Accurate

I've had it for one day and it seems to be accurate. I calibrated the UA-787EJ against the manual setup (stethiscope, gauge and cuff) that I purchased last week and the readings are consistant. I read the first review that stated their disatisfaction b/c the readings were "high". I would recommend calibrating the unit yourself and if it is off, return it for another or a refund.
For the last week I've tested several monitors in the local stores (Omron, ReliOn, LifeSource) and I felt that all of them reported low BP readings. I even ordered one that was very eratic in its readings but was always 10 to 12 points lower than the readings taken w/a stethiscope (sometimes I used the BP machine at Wal-Mart, which seemed to be consistent). I returned it for a refund.
I work at a hospital, and a co-worker used the new UA-787EJ this morning, found that his blood pressure was very high, went down to ER and indeed it was extremely high. If you have doubts about the accuracy, I suggest purchasing the manual steth., gauge and cuff to do your own calibartion. It was the only way I could be confident the automatic unit was accurate and reliable. The manual setup only costs about $16.00 from Wal-Mart (maybe less from Amazon) and taking your BP is easy.

There have been no problems with the monitor during the 3 months I have owned it. The instructions are clear and the monitor is easy to use. The AC adapter allows the monitor to be used without batteries. I brought it to a doctor's appointment and it gave a comparable blood pressure reading to that of the medical assistant.

This unit appears to work well and is consistently easy and convenient to use. Once you get the velcro on the cuff adjusted to size you can slip your arm in and out without undoing it. I don't have an easy way to calibrate it absolutely, but it's consistent with measurements at the various pharmacies, etc.

15.) Reading not accurate.

After checking the reviews on all the popular cuffs it came down to the LifeSource or the Omron. Some Omron owners cuffs failed in less then a year and the LifeSource is warranted for a lifetime ,so I choose this one.I expected it to be very accurate, but the doctors office made several comparisons and found the systolic pressure reading 8 lower then the actual reading. Now I add 8 to all my systolic readings for a correct reading. My wifes arms are small and the part that wraps around your arm should be made to fit smaller arms.I suggest measuring your arm before buying a cuff. Also it could use a bit of velcro to secure the flapping end of the piece that wraps around your arm.It is very easy to use and gives fast consistent readings. The air pump is strong and fills the cuff quickly. It comes with an AC power supply ,so you dont need to keep buying batteries for it.I would recommend this model ,but take it to your doctors to check the calibration.

This cuff was very inaccurate as far as my BP readings were concerned. It always read me at least 20 points higher than I was. I went to the doctor to see if the readings were accurate and they were very far from accurate and the doctors readings were consistently very different from this BP cuff.
21.) Erroneous readings

After doing extensive research on the web, I purchased this item to replace a current blood pressure monitor. While the Easy Fit cuff was easy to place, the B/P readings obtained for my wife and myself were much higher than those obtained on our previous B/P cuff as well as higher than blood pressures taken at the doctor's office. Since we had no confidence in the accuracy of the readings, I returned the B/P cuff to Amazon for a refund.
22.) Not Accurate in its readings

We were urged to purchase a monitor for caregiving of my elderly mother in the home. Home Health nurses regularly checked her BP and compared it with the monitor in the first 3 weeks we had it. The dyastolic was off 20 points each time and the systolic off from 8-10 points. We were told to send it back since it was unsafe and useless because of inaccurate readings.
23.) Misleading Terrible Product by a Terrible Company

I bought this product for my daughter who has high blood pressure. Come to find out, it reads consistently (or inconsistently) 10-15 points low. I called their customer service, spoke with the rudest customer service person ever born, and was promised that they would send out a new cuff.
The new cuff never came. We went out and bought a new cuff.
It still doesn't work right. This is a very dangerous product, and the company is terrible with horrible customer service.
If you buy this product, you are taking your life and your love ones' lives into your hands.
I hate this company.

It's probably a well-designed machine, if the reviews are correct. But blood pressure has to be accurate since it affects health and lifestyle decisions --otherwise there's no point in measuring it.
At my doctors, it gave a reading 18 points off on the systolic.
At home it could vary by 15-20 bars. So I stopped using it for several months.
Finally, I gritted my teeth and waited on hold for 45 minutes to talk to what I would guess from the announcements on the hold queue is their only, or 1 of 2 customer service people.
The lady was pleasant, but frustrated, and kept telling me the unit is 98% accurate. But how was I arranging the cuff?
The manual says: the cuff should be snug, but not too tight. You should be able to put two fingers between the cuff and your arm.
The cuff says: Adjust so that you can fit two fingers between the top and bottom cuff edge.
By "top and bottom" they really mean "front and back" cuff edge.
They also mean that the edge of the cuff flap should slope toward the shoulder and not the wrist.
I think, if I accept my doctor's reading as accurate, I have a device that provides excellent biofeedback on my ability to place the cuff properly. Unfortunately, that is not medically significant.
I will play with it for a few weeks and see if I can get it to work for me as a measure of blood pressure.
If not, I'll leave it out on the street and let some homeless person have it for free.
