I've only had my monitor for a few weeks so I can't speak to it's long term performance. So far however, I'm very satisfied. I work in a hospital so the first thing I did was compare the results of the LifeSource monitor to the real thing. The comparative results were basically the same. I compared the results of a friend's BPs and it appears that this device is pretty reliable. It's easy to operate,easy to read and small enough to take with you to work, trips, etc. I would caution anyone who's wrist circumference is close to the upper limit (7.7 in.)... My left wrist is 6 3/8 inches and it's a very tight fit...

I have found this to be a very useful product!! And I do think that the reading are more accurate than what my doctor always gets when she checks my blood pressure and pulse rate. She had asked me what the rates were when I took it at home and that's the reason I purchased this product. I can recommend it for anyone who wants to be able to easily check their own readings as it is very easy to use.

I was looking for a handy BP cuff that I could use FOR myself ON myself. This one was reasonably priced, performs very well, keeps a history log so averages can be obtained and tracked. I think it's great! Well worth the time and $$...nicer than models at other chain drug stores.

My dentist used the Lifesource UB-328 Blood Pressure Monitor during a routine teeth cleaning and exam. I was very impressed with it's operation and asked for the brand information. I searched around, found it on-line, and ordered it. I've been thrilled with the monitor. It's one of the best products I've ever used. Very easy and very accurate. I've owned other BP monitors, but this is the best one I've ever owned. I'd buy it again and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a BP monitor.

It is difficult to find a wrist BP monitor at less than $50.00. This one works great. I've had it checked several times against a mercury unit and it was within 2 points. Does not have any bells and whistles, but if you are looking for an inexpensive accurate monitor this one is great.

Nothing fancy about this blood pressure monitor. But, it's easy to use and its readings seem consistent with what my doctor gets. I was concerned about the size because I read a review indicating that it would not fit a large wrist. My wrist is a solid 7 inches and it works fine.

I bought a similar monitor four years ago and paid quite a bit more for it then.

As one reviewer noted, there is a battery issue with this monitor. I put in fresh Duracells, and it did not work at all. I tried two more sets and checked for a good fit, but it failed. However, a crummy imported set of AAAs kicking around in my drawer, those worked. The imports appear to be a tad smaller than the Duracells, so they probably make contact in a different spot.

I rate it a 4 star because I'm thinking of the extra trouble it will be to get batteries that work with it. I'd still say it's a great monitor to have, but don't plan on using Duracells.

hello for a medium to larger adult this takes a good Blood pressure with in a couple of numbers.when compaired to a RN Hand pumped unit.The ONE problem we used it on my SMALL wrist.it wase Horrabley off.I do wish they had informed us BETTER about Optimal wrist size.Honestly it did say for wrists between X.X inches & X.X inches.in fine print in the direction.It was not clearly stated.So Please besure who your grtting for is raitted for.it does work well and has a good memory.

I've had this unit for several months and I've been very pleased. I use it pretty much every day.

I have a "jumpy" heart, and at times my heart rate is too fast for no reason.., so I use this to keep track of what's going on.

Great features on this unit: the battery lasts for a long time, it reads pretty quickly, it has held up for months, the wrist band fits well and is adjustable for much smaller/larger wrists (mine is average woman's wrist size I think)
BEST FEATURE FOR ME: It has a little heart symbol at the bottom that only comes on when your heartbeat is irregular, which is very helpful in figuring out if I need to take my medication or just settle down for a few minutes.
And, if you have this issue, (or blood pressure issues), it's great to have these little gems @ home because you can use them for bio-feedback (meaning, you can see what/when your heart rate/blood pressure are not good, and what/when they are, so you can make informed lifestyle decisions, like I know I can't eat chocolate or drink caffiene, and alcohol isn't real great either)

Not so great: I use this thing a lot in my room at night, and it has no internal light.., The numbers show up fine in the daylight or normal room light, but it's very hard to read if I'm not in a normal-lighted place.., so I have to use a little flashlight or have the bedroom lights on. When I'm trying to relax to lower my heart rate, or trying to sleep.., I keep the lights down as I find this restful, and I really don't like having to get up to go to another room or fish for a light, as this raises my heart rate back up. I wish they'd make this with little lights, like many watches have.

I can't speak too much as to how exact the blood pressure reading is, as mine is low and fine. I can tell you that according to my doctor everyone's blood pressure changes often over the course of a day and home meters just give you a guideline "range." Your blood pressure will often NOT read the same, even when taken back to back at your doctors office, but should be in the same "range." With this meter, back to back readings are generally pretty close and in the same range as they are at my Dr.'s office, so I think it's fairly accurate. Good health to you!

I looked at a lot of reviews before I purchased a home blood pressure monitor, and all the positive reviews of this one were right on. It is very easy to use, and has all the features I need. The cuff can slip off it inflates in the wrong position, but it's easy to fix. It appears to be accurate as well.

I got this when my mother's doctor said she should be checking her blood pressure at home. We tried if for about 3 weeks, and after getting wildly inconsistent results, we took it to the doctor's office to compare with their meters, and make sure we were using it right. The first time it varied more than 20% above the doctor's reading; the second time, almost 20% below! The doctor said wrist monitors are usually not as accurate, and recommended we return this and get one used on the upper arm, like his. I just wish he'd said so in the first place. Anyway, we returned this and got a HoMedics BPA-200, and so far it appears to be more consistent, with less than 8% variance from the doctor's meter. Of course it cost more.

The systolic reading from the device I received was 20 points lower than the reading obtained with a calibrated arm cuff. The diastolic reading usually matched. Other than that, it is a great device. I returned it.

My husband and I bought this because he has episodes of arrythmia and we wanted to know what his B/P and pulse rates were during an episode. We took the unit to our Drs. office and compared the B/P readings on the unit with what the RN got and the unit was WAY off. If the unit was correct he would have had a major stroke and died..the numbers were that high. I haven't checked to see if there is a way to calibrate the unit so that it is correct so I haven't given up on it as yet. The pulse readings are right on the money each time so at least at this point it is good for that.

The blood pressure monitor did not work properly. The size and style of monitor was fine unfortunately the readings scored approximately 40 points higher than my acutal blood pressure reading at the doctors office. Even though I felt fine, I had to go into my doctors office late one evening (which was an inconvenience) because the readings were off the chart!

I WENT TO MY PHYSICIAN LAST WEEK ON FRIDAY 08/29 AND I COMPARED MY PRODUCT TO THE DOCTORS BLOOD PRESSURE MONITOR AND THE READINGS WERE TOTALLY DIFFERENT.MY DOCTOR RECOMMENDED I NOT USE THIS PRODUCT AT ALL AS A DAILY BAROMETER IN READING AND LOGGING MY BLOOD PRESSURE READINGS QUITE A DISAPPOINTMENT TO SAY THE LEAST I FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER AND ALWAYS THE SAME RESULTS I JUST WISH I HAD BP READINGS AS GOOD AS THE ONES I GET FROM THIS PRODUCT. I am a young slender woman with skinny wrists, maybe that is the cause of the problem I have with this device. I have unstable blood pressure and this device has alot of difficulty reading my BP. I get alot of Err 1 or Err 2 when trying to get a reading even though I am perfectly still. When it actually CAN get a reading it is usually 10 points higher than my doctor's monitors. This is with new batteries and with the device strapped on as instructed.
I do not recommend it if your BP is constantly high and you keep a close eye on it. There are times I suddenly get a headache and when I try to get a reading the machine CONSTANTLY fails over and over again, on either hand, strapped tight or loose, doesnt seem to make a difference.
